Butterfly birthday baking

Hey guys, I know this is a bit off of my normal topic but Im quite proud of my creativity today! :)

So, it's my nieces 13th birthday today and I have had the morning off of work to bake cupcakes :) My sister baked all of the 60 cakes and I decorated! Here are a few pics of the process!

The edible butterflies are amazing! And the cakes tasted lovely! Yummy!

And Finally, I would like to wish my wonderful niece Chloe a very happy 13th Birthday! <3

Take care everyone!

Illamasqua - Human Fundamentalism Collection 2012

Hey everyone,

Illamasqua is probably my favourite makeup brand. I love the ethos and attitude that Illamasqua has and how they manage to make their products so relevant.
I adore how they create and play with texture, luxury and colour! Especially their wonderful colours: who said we cant wear a teal lipstick? Right!
I have been with Illamasqua since the beginning and have seen their collections get better and better, I absolutely loved the toxic nature and Throb collection, and I think their newest collection is my favourite.
Human Fundamentalism is the brand new and exciting range by Illamasqua, they describe the collection below:

They go on to say:

'RISE ABOVE MAINSTREAM LIMITATIONS and exist in a world where individuality is received with celebration not derision, and breaking the mould is a sign of strength not instability'.

Check out the collection video...Whats not to love?

Here is the behind the scenes video:

And if your into nails, check out this video too - I do love the precision ink in Scribe! Very beautiful.

I love the look of these nails so much that I am definitely going to purchase the Precision Ink in White - AMAAAZING!

Take a look at some of the promotional imagery, absolutely beautiful, I love it all!

What a great collection for this Spring :) beautifully bright colours! Cant wait to get my hands on these products!!

Let me know what you think of this collection too!!

PAPERSELF Paper eyelashes!

Hey Guys,

Following on from my previous blog, I have been looking at ways to express intricate creativity through makeup. There is so much on the market at the moment as the beauty scene is getting larger and more extrovert.
I have always been intrigued with cleverly crafted design and striking imagery. Whilst looking around I have come across these eye lashes and I think they are wonderful. I would love to wear these out :) so unique! They would definitely give me more of a reason to bat my lashes!!
PAPERSELF have established themselves as a great designer and producer of delicately beautiful lashes, they explain their eyelashes below:

'Inspired by the art of Chinese paper-cutting, Eyelashes blend an element of traditional culture with contemporary design.
Intricately cut and delicately pretty, Eyelashes are now available in 11 styles, each infused with symbolic meaning rooted in Chinese culture'.

I think they are amazing, very striking and would definitely be a talking point at any party!

Take a look at some of the designs they have available, these are some of my favourites:

Horses

Peacock

Clown

Under the Sea - LOVE these <3

Under the Sea as worn by The Broken Hearts

Deer & Butterfly
I have seen on the PAPERSELF website that these are actually used in the new film 'Hunger Games', very intrigued about this - Makes me want to see the film even more!

If your one to push the boundaries of makeup, then these are certainly for you.

Let me know which ones are your favourite. :)

Lace your face!

Beauty trend for 2012.

I always love to keep my eyes peeled for up and coming trends for makeup design and application. I am inspired by things that are out of the ordinary and eye catching. I have recently seen some very inspiring and exciting makeup on the catwalk and I think its amazing!!

Face Lace creator and makeup artist Phyllis Cohen has designed some beautiful and intricate lace designs to be applied to the face. This has recently had its debute at the Corrie Nielsen Autumn/Winter 2012 fashion show. The stick on patterned design give a striking and powerful look. There are many different designs and styles from something delicate and simple to something intricate and overpowering, either way they create an intense makeup look.

Have a look at Phyllis Cohens work on her website, this film is ace: www.face-lace.com/videos/face•lace-film

These are so beautiful.   :)

Here are some shots from the Corrie Nielsen Autumn/Winter 2012 show.

I think these are excellent, I absolutely love them and cannot wait to try this out :)

Hope you like the post,
                                    Much love
